There still was a day to go for the national day but the celebrations were already in full swing around the Kingdom. IPD also took advantage of the same and swung in the same spirit high amid patriotism. The two hours long event at IPD head office began at 2:30 pm and closed the doors at 4:30 pm. The session began by playing the National Anthem of Saudi Arabia and performances on the Al-Ardha Dance by the office colleagues and distinguished dignitaries. It was an event filled with fun n Frolic where every employee of the company participated with great enthusiasm. With a thanking speech by Mr. Ahmed Moharram, GPI CEO and Mr. Yadlram Pervez, IPD COO, followed by the cake cutting ceremony, it was called a day. The complete event was a feast to ones eye. At IPD we truly believe in “ All work and no play makes jack a dull boy”. Hard and industrious work is necessary to achieve our goals in life. But concentration on work alone with no recreation tends to make a person dull and unsociable. The mind’s constitution is such that it can work for a long time. But at the same time, proper relaxation is necessary to keep it from getting overtaxed. An overtaxed mind loses all social spirit making the personality dull. AT IPD, a relaxed mind is a rejuvenated one. It retrieves all its capacities to absorb knowledge after proper recreation. Recreation revitalizes the mind’s inborn abilities. That is why we stress extracurricular activities outside our work routine. A balanced scheme of work and recreation is the proper way to keep the mind in trim shape. In short, work with no recreation will make Jack a dull boy. On the other hand, IPD realizes the combination of work with recreation will make him a properly balanced person. Thus, an inter-company cricket match was played amongst the IPD holding employees and following are few glimpses from the same.
